Miguel Nacianceno was born in Manila, Philippines. At the Ateneo de Manila University, he served as Photo Editor of The Guidon, the university newspaper. After graduating with a degree in Communication Arts in 2001, he had a short stint as a stringer for Newsbreak, a local news magazine.
After Newsbreak, he worked on his first personal project which eventually culminated with his first exhibit, Carnival Photography (Lumiere Gallery, 2004).
He took a film workshop in New York in 2004. His photographs from that trip made up his second exhibit, Commonplace (Lumiere Gallery, 2006).
Today, Miguel's shoots for a number of Manila's magazines, ad agencies, and corporations. His work has also appeared in publications in Asia and Europe.
